Saitama vs Tatsumaki | Is Saitama stronger than Tatsumaki?

Is Saitama stronger than Tatsumaki

Tatsumaki is strong. She is the second strongest hero in the Hero Association’s hero rankings. Out of fear, everyone calls her the “Tornado of Terror.” She has the strongest psychic power in the series. When the series first introduced her, she was casually summoning asteroids to destroy an enemy. You might be thinking, why are we discussing about something we already know?

All this discussion started because of another strong character in the One Punch Man series. You might know him as Saitama. I don’t think we need an introduction for this character but to say briefly he is also strong, too strong in fact. He is so strong that he wins every fight and is now bored of fighting anyone. Hence, the question arises: who will be victorious in a Saitama vs Tatsumaki battle? And Is Saitama stronger than Tatsumaki?

Fortunately, we have the exact answer to this question. In the series, both characters had come face to face, and there was a clear victor. So let’s start with the basics.

Saitama vs Tatsumaki Strengths comparison

Saitama’s Strengths;

1. Indestructible Physique

One of the major advantages of Saitama’s defense is his indestructible body. For example, Saitama’s physique is so strong that it withstood a collision with an asteroid. While the asteroid was blown into smithereens, Saitama was perfectly fine. Even in the series, we still have not seen any kind of injury to Saitama’s body. This can be a helpful factor against Tatsumaki’s psychic powers, which create strain or pressure on an opponent’s body.

2. It Only Takes One Punch

It’s funny to discuss as a strength, but Saitama’s punch is actually strong. And a majority of the time Saitama uses punch as his fighting style against his enemies. As suggested by the name of the series, Saitama only needs one punch to deal with any kind of enemy. In the series, he has already destroyed multiple enemies, mountains, and even a meteor with just one punch.

3. High-Speed Reflexes and Agility

Saitama is very fast, at least fast enough to reach his market sales on time😂. Jokes aside, there is a villain Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, who is as strong as an average S-class hero. He specializes in speed and only speed. Still, Saitama always makes fun of Speed-o’-Sound Sonic and plays around with him at Sonic’s top speed. If you were wondering, yes, I am referring to the nut-cracking scene. So naturally we can say that Saitama has high-speed reflexes and agility.

Tatsumaki’s Strengths

Variety of Abilities

Unlike Saitama, Tatsumaki can use a variety of abilities due to her psychic powers. Let’s briefly understand some of those abilities.

1. Flight

Tatsumaki can fly at different altitudes, as long as it’s within the Earth’s atmosphere. This is a byproduct of her psychic power, in which she can make herself lightweight and fly around.

2. Enhancing Speed and Reflexes

Tatsumaki can increase her speed and reflexes using her psychic powers. This enhancement helps her fly faster and evade enemy attacks more effectively.

3. Psychic Barriers

Tatsumaki can fortify her defenses by creating strong, invisible barriers around her. These barriers provide significant protection against physical and nonphysical attacks.

4. Psychic Attacks

Tatsumaki can use a variety of attacks using her psychic powers. From manipulating the atmosphere to create strong winds to raining down meteors, she can do it all. Her offensive capabilities depend on how creatively she uses her psychic powers.

5. Telekinesis

Although not much is shown in the series about this power, Tatsumaki can use telekinesis to sense her sister Fubuki in danger. Both sisters can communicate between them using this power.

Weakness comparison Between Saitama vs Tatsumaki

Saitama’s Weakness:

1. Low Battle IQ

Compared to Tatsumaki, Saitama has a low battle IQ. This is not a big surprise because Saitama is too strong for his enemies to have a prolonged fight. Saitama gained some battle experience while fighting villains and monsters when he started training three years ago. But today’s Saitama does not care about battle IQ or battle experience. He just punches his enemies and defeats them in one move.

2. Limited Interest in Battles

Saitama is not interested in fights. It sounds ridiculous, but it is a weakness of his. This man is so bored with one-shot kills that he has lost interest in any kind of conflict. This is why we have rarely seen him being serious in the series. There is a very high chance that if Tatsumaki tries to provoke or attack Saitama, he will just ignore her.

Tatsumaki’s Weakness

1. Overconfidence in Her Abilities

Tatsumaki is one of the strongest heroes in the Hero Association, and she knows that fact very well. It’s because she rarely meets strong opponents who can give her a hard time. Now she has developed a high level of overconfidence. She does not respect anyone except Blast, (the number one hero), and often insults everyone she meets. This overconfidence can be a weakness if her opponent is strong and takes her down by surprise.

2. Physical Vulnerability

Although Tatsumaki can use strong psychic powers and has various types of attacks and defenses in her arsenal, she has a weak physical body. If, for some reason, Tatsumaki loses her psychic powers momentarily, she will be physically vulnerable, even to the simplest attacks.

Is Saitama Stronger Than Tatsumaki?

Saitama vs Tatsumaki

We have already seen the strengths and weaknesses between Saitama vs Tatsumaki. So, how do we know who is stronger? The fight between them would be better, right? Fortunately, that’s exactly what happened in the manga and webcomic. Let’s see how that fight unfolded and who became the winner.

Saitama vs Tatsumaki’s Fight in Web Comic and Manga

Everything started when Tatsumaki got furious at the Blizzard Group. She thought her sister, Fubuki, might be in danger because of the Blizzard Group’s lack of strength to protect her. Tatsumaki threatened to disable them as heroes If they kept hanging out with his sister. At that time, Saitama intervened and tried to calm her down. Tatsumaki got irritated and started attacking Saitama. Then the fight started between Saitama and Tatsumaki.

It was more like a one-sided beating of Saitama by Tatsumaki, while Saitama ignored all her attacks and protected nearby people. In this fight, Tatsumaki used all her powers and skills on Saitama but could not defeat him. Saitama won without even lifting a finger. Tatsumaki lost to Saitama due to exhaustion.

So, to answer the question: Is Saitama stronger than Tatsumaki? Yes, Saitama is much stronger than Tatsumaki. Saitama can win just by doing nothing against Tatsumaki’s attacks while she gets exhausted and loses.

To Sum Up

To sum up, it’s always interesting to see who is going to win when Saitama is involved in a fight. Because, deep down, we always know Saitama can’t be defeated. It’s always a pleasure watching Saitama destroy enemies’ egos and defeat them with one punch. From the start, Tatsumaki always insulted Saitama. Although he didn’t have any problem with that, we fans didn’t like the way she treated him. Thankfully, the webcomic did justice to our feelings and executed the fight between Saitama vs Tatsumaki beautifully.

That’s it for this post. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please share them in the comments below. We will be delighted to know your thoughts on this topic. Thank you for your support.
