We fans still remember the charm of Horimiya. The romance felt real, the friendships were warm, and every episode gave a mix of laughter and emotion. Hori and Miyamura’s relationship grew in such a natural way that we fans, were hooked from start to finish of the story. But is the story finished? Will there be a Horimiya Season 3? Let’s find out.
The last season, Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, ended in September 2023. It covered the chapters that were skipped in Season 1. It gave more time to side characters and side stories, which were skipped in the anime. Since then, we fans have been waiting for more Horimiya content. So the big question is, when is Horimiya Season 3 Release Date? Or will it not get a release?
Probable Horimiya Season 3 Release Date

Right now, there is no official announcement for Horimiya Season 3. No studio or creator has confirmed the Horimiya Season 3 Release Date. Or is it even in production? There have been some speculations that such a popular show must continue. So there will be a season 3. But there is no official confirmation for Horimiya Season 3.
The main reason for doubt is that the manga ended in March 2021 with volume 16. A special 17th volume came out in July 2023, but it was more of a bonus release and not a continuation of the story.
Some predictions say that if it is ever made, it might only come in the second half of 2027. But these are only guesses. Unless the official channels speak, every date you hear is just speculation.
How Much Story Is Left for Horimiya Season 3?
Horimiya season 1 and The Missing Pieces together adapted most of the 122 manga chapters. The main romance and graduation arcs are already complete.
Horimiya season 1 told the main story but skipped and rearranged some events to fit 13 episodes. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces later brought back those skipped scenes, filling the gaps. Even now, around 25% of the chapters are still not animated. These are short slice-of-life stories, side character moments, and comedic arcs.
The extra material from volume 17 — such as post-graduation epilogues — is also not yet animated. If Horimiya Season 3 comes, it would likely focus only on these leftover stories. Or there might be a continuation of the manga by the original author, Hiroki Adachi. And we will have some happy news. At least we fans would love it.
