No one thought anime with cooking plus fantasy would be so well-liked. Laios and his party turned dungeon survival into a fun adventure with just meals. The mix of strategy, food, and dark lore made Season 1 of Delicious in Dungeon one of the most liked anime in 2024.
Now to the main topic- Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 Release Date? Is it confirmed? Is production moving? And how long will we wait this time?
Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 Release Date?
Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 is officially confirmed. The announcement came right after Episode 24 aired on June 13, 2024. A “Season 2 production confirmed” visual and teaser were released immediately after the finale. But sadly, as of now, there is no official broadcast month or date attached to Delicious in Dungeon Season 2.
Season 1 ran from January to June 2024 and completed a full 24-episode run. Later, KADOKAWA group pages in 2026 still listed Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 as greenlit.
If you want a realistic expectation, late 2026 feels like the earliest sensible window. A 24-episode production is not easy to produce. And being honest, we don’t want another anime that has bad quality production for the next season.
A return in 2027 is also very possible if the production calendar remains tight. Then again, this is just a speculation. The date may be closer or delayed depending on the production team.
How Did Delicious in Dungeon Season 1 End?

Note: This section contains spoilers for season 1
Season 1 ended with Episode 24 on June 13, 2024. The final episode was titled “Dumplings -2- / Bacon and Eggs.”
The final arc focused on changeling mushrooms that swapped the party’s races. Senshi feared he had eaten griffin meat, but Laios identified it as hippogriff instead. The mushrooms were used to transform the meat so Senshi could confirm the taste properly.
After that, the party pushed forward and passed through a magically locked door. Kensuke emerged and opened it, which woke nearby gargoyles. The group fled into an old dwarven stronghold from the elf–dwarf war era.
They camped there and cooked dumplings while still trapped in altered bodies. In Episode 24, the gargoyles attacked again. During the chaos, Kensuke transformed, and Marcille realised they were covered in mushroom spores. The team linked hands and formed a magic circle. The gargoyles turned into statues. After washing off the spores, everyone returned to normal.
Falin. Laios considered using mushrooms as a possible restoration method. Senshi proposed cutting off dragon parts and eating them so they would not regenerate and reattach. Laios worried that such a plan might take years without outside support.
What Manga Chapters Season 2 Adapt?

Since Season 1 finished at Chapter 52. So Season 2 logically begins at Chapter 53, titled “On Floor One -1-.” From there, the remaining canon material runs through Chapter 97, which is the final chapter titled “Delicious in Dungeon.”
Volume-wise, Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 will start in Volume 8, which includes Chapters 50 to 56. The immediate next chapters are:
- Chapter 53 “On Floor One -1-”
- Chapter 54 “On Floor One -2-”
- Chapter 55 “On Floor One -3-”
- Chapter 56 “Bicorn”
From Volume 9 onward, the story becomes a little serious. The party confronts succubi, the expanding role of the Winged Lion, and Sissel’s growing control over the dungeon. The “Lord of the Dungeon” conflict takes centre stage, pushing the narrative into direct power struggles over the dungeon’s structure.
The later volumes focus on the truth behind the dungeon’s origin and control system. Marcille’s arc reveals key information about ancient magic and why it might not be a good idea to use. The final chapters focus on Falin and the dragon fusion. This will lead to the series conclusion in Chapter 97.
Short bonus chapters titled “Miscellaneous Monster Tales” appear across the remaining volumes. These are side stories and may or may not be animated depending on how Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 is structured.
Overall the remaining chapters are sufficient to produce Delicious in Dungeon Season 2
