There are strange powers, secret rituals, and one guy named Klein Moretti who keeps acting calm even when things get scary. It does not feel like other anime where people shout and fight all the time. This one is quiet, dark, and slow, but something big is clearly building up.

You may have seen people say that Klein becomes really powerful later. Some even call him a god. But how does that happen? What kind of powers does he get? How strong is Klein Moretti? Who Exactly Is Klein Moretti in Lord of the Mysteries?

Klein Moretti was Zhou Mingrui, a history student from modern-day Earth. After waking up in the body of a man who had just committed suicide, he found himself in the city of Tingen, surrounded by mystery and hidden forces.

From that point, Klein began building a new life. He formed the Tarot Club, took on fake names like Sherlock Moriarty and Gehrman Sparrow. And slowly rose through the Fool Pathway. Every step was filled with rituals, secrets, and danger. He never rushed power—he earned it by thinking ahead and never letting his guard down.

Klein’s personality:
He is smart, deeply cautious, and extremely good at pretending. That is how he survives. That is how he wins. Behind his jokes and awkwardness hides a man who watches everything and forgets nothing.

What Are Sequences and How Do They Work?

In Lord of the Mysteries, Sequences are levels of power for Beyonders. Each Pathway has ten Sequences, from Sequence 9 to Sequence 0. Sequence 9 is where people start. Sequence 0 means godhood.

To move up a Sequence, you need to find rare materials called Beyonder Characteristics. You also need to do proper rituals to stay sane. From Sequence 5 and above, one wrong move can destroy your mind. So, climbing up is hard as well as dangerous.

Low Sequences give small powers. You can sense danger, do basic divination, or create small illusions. Mid Sequences allow things like corpse control, creating magical items, and even teleportation. High Sequences change everything. You start bending fate, creating miracles, and affecting reality itself.

The final goal is Sequence 0. But even that is not the end. Beyond that, there are Great Old Ones—cosmic beings tied to concepts and Sefirah.

Klein Moretti’s Pathway: The Fool Pathway Explained

Klein walks the Fool Pathway. It is not about strength or firepower. It is about deception, identity, and fate. At lower levels, this means hiding your face, tricking people, and playing roles. At higher levels, this means rewriting destiny, fooling reality, and controlling history.

This Pathway fits Klein perfectly. He is the type who solves things with planning, not punching. He pretends. He observes. And when he acts, no one sees it coming. From the start, the Fool Pathway teaches a person to stay hidden but in control. Klein used that teaching to full effect.

How Strong Is Klein Moretti at Low Sequences? (9 to 5)

At the beginning of his journey, Klein’s powers were not explosive. But they were useful, especially when he had to stay alive in a world full of secret organisations and monsters.

Sequence 9: Seer

As a Seer, Klein could perform divination and use Spirit Vision. He could see spiritual and non-physical things like ghosts and traces of abnormality. He also had Danger Intuition, which gave him early warnings through his Spirituality. His improved memory also helped him learn rituals and divination steps faster, and that made his survival rate go up a lot.

Sequence 8: Clown

This stage gave him extreme control over his body. His balance, coordination, speed, and dexterity jumped up, and his movements started looking like a trained acrobat in a real fight. He also gained strong control over his facial expressions and emotions, so he could stay calm and act normally even in dangerous moments. His Danger Intuition also improved into short and vague premonition at times, which made him even harder to ambush.

Sequence 7: Magician

Klein gained the real “trickster fighter” kit here. He could use fast spell-like abilities and turn misdirection into a combat weapon. He could Transfer Damage to move a fatal wound into a less deadly area, and that alone made him much harder to kill. He could also use Flaming Jump to move through flames within range, and he even gained Air Bullet, which let him fire air projectiles with power comparable to bullets using simple gestures. His brain made these abilities far more dangerous than they looked on paper.

Sequence 6: Faceless

Here, Klein could completely change his appearance. It was not just visual—he had to act and think like the person he was copying. This made him perfect for infiltration, spying, and manipulation.

Sequence 5: Marionettist

Klein gained the power to control others using Spirit Body Threads. He could take over both the living and the dead, including Beyonders below his level. These marionettes followed his exact commands, whether it was spying, fighting, or casting abilities. Unlike basic corpse control, this power lets him fight through skilled targets. This includes even turning enemies into weapons mid-battle.

Klein Moretti’s Powers at Mid Sequences (4 to 2)

At this stage, Klein steps into High-Sequence territory. Sequence 4 is the point where a Beyonder becomes a demigod-level existence, and from there the scale of powers changes a lot.
When Klein reached these Sequences, his abilities stopped feeling like small tricks. They started affecting battles, survival, and the world around him in much bigger ways.

Sequence 4: Bizarro Sorcerer

Klein’s powers became far stranger and far harder to deal with. He gained the incomplete Mythical Creature Form of the Fool Pathway, and his Worms of Spirit carried the themes of bizarreness and madness, which can disturb enemies and the surrounding environment.
At this level, he could split off Worms of Spirit and “bestow” them to his marionettes so they could use his Beyonder abilities. That made him much harder to kill because the fight was no longer only about his main body. His illusion and misdirection abilities also reached a qualitative upgrade, and his control over Spirit Body Threads and marionettes became much stronger.

Sequence 3: Scholar of Yore

Klein gained a real connection to the Historical Void, which is the mystically conceptualized manifestation of History.
At this stage, he could borrow from the past and summon Historical Projections of people, items, or scenes he was familiar with. These projections were not simple illusions, but they also had limits: they follow orders and lack intelligence, so they fight in a more instinctive and mechanical manner instead of acting like the real person with full thinking and memories.
He could also hide in the Historical Void’s “gaps” to avoid danger, as long as he understood the corresponding history.

Sequence 2: Miracle Invoker

At this stage, Klein reaches angel status within the Fool Pathway.
His defining power becomes Wish and miracles. Early on, a Miracle Invoker has to accumulate small fulfilled wishes step by step before producing bigger “true miracles,” and the outcomes can distort, especially when the wish is large or poorly constrained.
He also gains stronger Historical Void applications and a built-in Resurrection method tied to the Historical Void and his Worms of Spirit, with clear limits on how many times it works. Along with that, he can exert a degree of interference on probability and the future (“jamming in fate”), in a way that increases or decreases the likelihood of something to a certain extent.

How Powerful Is Klein Moretti at Sequence 1?

Sequence 1: Attendant of Mysteries

Klein reaches Sequence 1: Attendant of Mysteries in Chapter 1352. This is the highest level in the Fool Pathway before becoming a true god.

At this stage, Klein is already close to divine status. His control over the authority of Fooling becomes much stronger. He does not just trick people anymore. He begins influencing fate, hiding information from powerful beings, and interfering with events on a much larger scale.

His connection with Sefirah Castle also becomes more stable. He can use its authority more freely. He can observe from above the grey fog without strain. He can guide his Tarot Club members with better precision. His perception expands beyond normal limits.

Sequence 1 is also preparation for the final step. To advance further, Klein needs the Fool Pathway Uniqueness, which is held by Antigonus.

Klein Moretti’s True Strength at Sequence 0

Sequence 0: The Fool

At Sequence 0, Klein became the God of the Fool Pathway. His core ability, Fooling, let him directly alter reality. He could rewrite history, reshape cause and effect, and adjust identities so that false events or conditions became absolute truth. This was not illusion or probability manipulation but the rewriting of reality itself. For example, he could make the world accept that an event had always happened or that he had always held a certain role.

He also gained complete authority over the Sefirah Castle, using it to influence fate on a large scale, suppress knowledge from other deities, and maintain the stability of his pathway. This power allowed him to guide followers, protect secrets, and counter threats that reached beyond the material world. Sequence 0 placed Klein at the level of a true deity—one whose will could determine the laws by which the world functioned.

When and How Does Klein Become a God?

We fans waited for so long to see Klein reach godhood. It finally happens in Chapter 1380, near the end of Volume 8. That chapter has the line “The Fool was born,” and that is the moment. But the path to that point starts much earlier.

After becoming Sequence 1: Attendant of Mysteries in Chapter 1352, Klein begins preparing for the final leap. The entire setup happens during the fight at Hornacis Mountain, where he grabs the Fool Pathway Uniqueness from Antigonus. At the same time, the Celestial Worthy is trying to awaken, and the ritual turns into a battle of fate.

The Evernight Goddess steps in. She uses the River of Eternal Darkness to trap the Celestial Worthy. Then, in a shocking twist, she even kills Klein mid-ritual. But that was part of the plan. Klein returns from the Fog of History and finishes the ritual by fooling reality itself—he rewrites the past so the world believes he was always The Fool.

By June 25, 1360, Klein fuses with the Celestial Worthy. And by July 1360, he absorbed the other Uniqueness linked to Gehrman Sparrow’s identity. That is when the world accepts him as the Lord of Mysteries.
